Villa Tugendhat 12 km

The functionalist Villa Tugendhat has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. The villa itself is the work of the famous German architect Mies van der Rohe and is considered a building that has determined the new face of modern living. In the years 2010 to 2012, the villa underwent a complete reconstruction, which cost a total of 156 million CZK.

Veveří Castle is one of the oldest castle complexes in the Czech Republic. According to a legend, in the castle complex there is a treasure of the Templars containing 12 silver statues of the apostles, originally brought to the Czech lands by Prince Břetislav I. from the campaign in Poland. The most beautiful views of the Veveří Castle are offered to visitors from the deck of cruise liners passing under the castle.

Pernštejn Castle 34 km

Pernštejn Castle is one of the most important Moravian castles. It has been a national cultural monument since 1995. Pernštejn Castle is interesting for its complex architectural development and the transformation of a medieval castle into a Baroque Moravian fortress, architectural details and sculptural and painting decoration are also valued. The castle is also sometimes called "marble" for the abundant use of local Nedvědice marble in its construction.

The Lednice-​Valtice area is a landscape area that was formed into a natural park by the princely family of Liechtenstein during the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1996, the area was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. There are 2 main castles in the area - Lednice and Valtice, and in their vicinity there are other small buildings such as John's Castle, Apollo's Temple, Belvedere, Minaret, Moorish Waterworks and Diana's Temple.
